Tech at Night: FCC continues its lawless march to statism

Recently we’ve discussed how Obama’s FCC started rigging the stats that they use to push their agenda. Then they took aim at states opposed to socialized Internet.

Now it’s gotten even worse, as they announced the plan they were even keeping secret from the two Republican commissioners: a massive power grab to regulate the Internet under 1930s-era phone regulations, known as ‘Title II Reclassification’, or what could be called ‘deem and regulate.’

Media Freedom has another name for it: The FCC wants to ‘Kelo’ the Internet, punishing those who own the infrastructure in order to reward connected companies like Google, Amazon, and Netflix.

It’s a terrible idea and we need the Congress to act. Mitch McConnell and John Boehner must use the power of the purse here to take away FCC’s ability to do this.

I guess you could also say that IEEE, backed by Obama, wants to ‘Kelo’ WiFi innovators, as well.

Ross Ulbricht, founder of Silk Road, which made him millions skimming off of the massive drug, gun, and other black market transactions he facilitated, was found guilty on all counts. The only good anarchist is a convicted anarchist.
