Here is the proccess for opening up prgramming docs in a browser window in Tiger with Desktop Manager:

1. Click Firefox icon in Dock
2. Hit Cmd-N
3. Hit bookmark
4. Move and resize to taste

I could do that in a few seconds, it was glorious. Contrast with Leopard with Spaces:

1. Click Firefox icon in Dock
2. Wait for animation as desktop switches from Space 1 (my terminal and Vim windows) to 8 (my Firefox news, comics, and other reading).
3. Hit Cmd-N
4. Hit F13 for Spaces
5. Wait for animation
6. Navigate pointer precisely to the Firefox window I created, drag it precisely to desktop #1
7. Click Space 1
8. Wait for animation
9. Hit bookmark
10. Move and resize to taste

I hate Spaces.
