Petition in support of the President

On January 26, 2007, in General, by Neil Stevens

In light of select elected Republicans warming up to Democratic attempts to obstruct the President’s conduct of the war, there’s a petition going around to galvanize opposition to Republicans who do so, and to send the NRSC a message not to support those Republicans either.

For a couple of years now, Democrats have claimed that “the Generals want more troops, but the President isn’t listening.” Well, now that a new General is in charge in Iraq, and he’s asked for more troops, they can’t turn around and ask the President not to listen. Not without political consequences anyway, but every Republican who backs them undermines our attempts to highlight the calculated Democratic flip-flop.

So I’m in.
