That’ll Show Me

So Jeff Kent swings at a 3-0 pitch, and Vin Scully points out that “they let him swing.” I think “Oh, big deal. Two out, nobody on, 0-0 game in the fourth. Who cares about a walk?”

Well, he walks on the 3-1 pitch that’s a ball, and promptly scores from first on a double to the center field wall. That’ll show me.

Update: and then the hext batter, Lugo, gets a hit to score Drew, on second from his double. Who cares about a walk? I wouldn’t want to say that to David Wells right now.
