Police Fundraising

I hate government fundraising jobs. Says the Press-Enterprise:

A weekend sobriety checkpoint saw 185 drivers cited and 166 vehicles impounded, officials said.

In all, 2,454 vehicles passed through the checkpoint Friday, Sept. 8, before it ended at 10 p.m., according to the Moreno Valley Police Department. Most citations and vehicle impoundments involved drivers without licenses or those driving with a suspended one, officials said.

Nothing like stopping hundreds of people without any cause to suspect anything, admittedly doing far more than you claimed to be trying to do, and having no shame about it. But I bet all those citations raked in great cash for the city of Moreno Valley.
