It's a War on Terror, not a War on Islam
Why is anyone, least of all a member of Congress, surprised that Gerry Adams is on a terrorist watch list? If you believe it, here's what the BBC says about Rep. Brian Higgins, New York Democrat:
Adams was a leader of a terror group, and so he deserves credit for spending decades being talked down from it? I wonder what they'll be saying about UBL (should he still be alive) in 30 years, then.
And in case it's not clear enough that the Democrats do love to cozy up with this leader of a vicious gang of terrorists, the linked BBC article also carries an AFP picture of Senator Kennedy standing with Adams.
Let's not let the history be forgotten: Sinn Féin is to the IRA what Fatah is to its 'fedayeen.' This makes Gerry Adams the Yassir Arafat or Mahmoud Abbas of Belfast. And just as Arafat should never have had the honor of meeting with American officials (President Bush always sought to avoid him, to his credit), it's shameful that Senator Kennedy arranges photo opportunities with this terror leader.
