Lakers 105, Celtics 97

By Neil Stevens (#1) at 08:22 PM PST on Monday, March 20, 2006

After some ups and downs on the road this year, the Lakers close the books on Eastern Conference trips with a win. The win was huge, too, because the last loss didn't drop them to #9 after all, but this one almost certainly would.

At least they closed this one down. This game was shaping up to be like the one in Cleveland: big lead taken in the first half, but given in one bad quarter late. But, the team held on, and will maintain their playoff position another day.

What a relief.

Now bring on the real baseball season!
